The realistic side of unrealistic expectations
Nothing is ever what I expect it to be. I have a habit of expecting the best of the best. My expectations have a way of completely clogging my lease and keeping me from living in the moment and having fun.
When I started my college in August of 2021 I expected to be living my dream life. When my new life did not match my exceptions I did something I'd never done before; let them go. I then started to live my life without dwelling on what could have happened. I'm not perfect, I still have exceptions and am disappointed when things don't work out the way they did in my head, but I'm working on letting them go and living in the moment.
